What You'll LearnNo school
teaches this.
Design school teaches tools and theory. Business teaches structure and accountability.
Neither teaches you how to design with the land, or move a client from skeptical to fully committed.
There's no roadmap for building a practice rooted in ecology. The designers who figured it out did so alone, through years of expensive trial and error.
That ends here.
You know ecology matters, but can't explain it in a way clients actually feel.
01
Pricing feels like guessing. You undercharge and over deliver.
02
Clients choose conventional over ecological, even when you know there's a better way.
03
No blueprint exists for growing a regenerative design practice from scratch.

Introducing
Rooted by Land Language Institute
I
Design Ecologically
Plant communities, soil health, water cycles, and succession. Design that works with nature's intelligence, not against it.
II
Run a Real Business
Pricing with confidence to create proposals, contracts, refine scope, etc... A practice that's profitable and deeply sustainable.
III
Move Your Clients
Story-driven conversations. The language and frameworks to turn a skeptic into a committed champion of the work.
This is for you if...
Rooted is built for landscape designers, ecological designers, and design-build contractors who are already doing the work and want to do it better, charge more for it, and explain it in a way that actually moves people. If you're building your practice from the ground up without a traditional degree, Rooted gives you the framework that school never offered.
You don't need a traditional degree.
You need a framework.
One Transformation.
Six Modules
Reading the Land
Ecology, site analysis, and learning to see what's already working before you touch a thing.
After this module
You will be able to walk any site and articulate its ecological story to a client in plain language.
Designing with Succession
Plant communities, soil food web, water, and the art of regenerative system design.
After this module
You will be able to design plant systems that establish, evolve, and thrive without constant intervention.
Your Design Process
From intake to installation, a repeatable, values-led workflow you can trust and scale.
After this module
You will have a clear, documented process you can hand to a client or a new team member.
The Ecological Pitch
Client language, story framing, and handling the objections that used to stop you cold.
After this module
You will have the confidence to walk into any client conversation with confidence and language that lands.
Building Your Business
Pricing models, proposals, contracts, and a service structure you can actually sustain.
After this module
You will price your work with confidence and stop leaving money on the table.
Your Living Practice
Long-term vision, brand, community, and leading by the example of your own hands.
After this module
You will have a clear vision for where your practice is going and how to get there.

FAQs
Is this for beginners or experienced professionals?
1
Rooted is designed for working professionals who want to do the work better and build a more sustainable practice. You should have some exposure to landscape or ecological design, whether through formal training, on-the-job experience, or self-directed study. If you're newer to the field but serious about building a regenerative practice, Rooted can absolutely work for you. If you're completely new to design, start with the Land Language podcast to build context first.
Does Rooted qualify for ASLA or CLARB continuing education credits?
2
Rooted is not currently accredited for ASLA CEUs or CLARB PDHs, though we are actively exploring accreditation pathways for future cohorts. The curriculum is designed to meet the professional development depth that licensed landscape architects seek in ecological systems, regenerative design methodology, and client communication. Many licensed professionals find the material directly applicable to their practice and use it to fulfill their own continuing education goals.
Is the course live or self paced?
3
The core curriculum is self-paced, so you can move through the six modules on your own schedule. The Root and Canopy tiers include live group coaching calls and direct feedback opportunities. All sessions are recorded and available for replay.
How long does it take to complete?
4
Most students complete the core curriculum in six to eight weeks moving at a comfortable pace. The material is designed to be applied in your practice as you go, so many students find the real learning happens in the weeks after each module.
When does Rooted launch?
5
We're building toward a launch later this year. Waitlist members will receive the exact date, early access, and launch pricing before the public announcement. Joining the waitlist is the best way to stay informed and lock in the best rate.
What is the refund policy?
6
We offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee. If you complete the first two modules and don't feel the course is right for you, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. We want you to be confident in the investment. If more than the two modules are completed within the 14 day period, a refund will not be granted.
Do I need specific software or tools?
7
No specific software is required. The frameworks, language, and business tools in Rooted are designed to work with whatever design tools you already use. The focus is on thinking, communication, and practice structure, not software.
